Et-Takrîb ve’t-teysîr li-maʿrifeti süneni’l-beşîri’n-nezîr is an abridgement of Ibn al-Salah’s Ulûmü’l-ḥad, a work by Nawawi (d. 676/1277) that is a summary of Ibn al-Salah’s Ulûmü’l-ḥadîs. Due to its abridged structure, it holds a significant place, particularly among textbooks for hadith methodology courses. These courses, which Professor Mehmet Fatih Kaya began teaching with a group of his students in 2026 and are still ongoing, also contain noteworthy assessments of the abridgement tradition, its nature, and its drawbacks.
