After several years, this impressive mountain tour returns to Piz Boè, one of the easiest 3000-meter peaks and a magnificent viewpoint in the Dolomites. The route starts at Passo Pordoi, first taking the cable car up to the mountain station at Sass Pordoi, where beautiful views already open up toward the dramatic southern walls of the Sella massif. From there, the hike continues with friends via Rifugio Forcella Pordoi and onward to Piz Boè and Capanna Fassa. The trail crosses rocky karst terrain and is well secured in exposed sections, but it still requires sure-footedness and solid alpine awareness. After roughly one and a half hours of ascent, the hut near the summit area is reached. At the top, magnificent panoramas stretch across the Sella group, the Langkofel group, Marmolada and far beyond. Capanna Fassa is not only spectacularly located, but also offers a special mountain experience with evening light, sunset, star photography and a beautiful sunrise the next morning.
