The Invisible Man from The Innocence of Father Brown by G. K. Chesterton.
Now we've done all the Sherlock Holmes canon I've got stuck into Father Brown. This is a particularly interesting one with Smythe's curious company of robot cooks butlers and unflirting maids. All a bit proto-technocratic: perhaps he was having a go at H. G. Wells. Anyway it's rather delightful in lots of ways and the descriptions of Hampstead (is it Hampstead?) in the snow are great. I've dug out a microphone which I finally like: it's a Warbler Mk... er... I forget which mark but I rather like it. (I must stop this microphone polygamy!) So, it's read by me, Greg Wagland for Magpie Audio 2023. It almost looks like Spring has sprung outside. The leaves on the trees in the churchyard are emerging with some confidence! Temperature not too bad. Ciao!
