The suspect is also charged under Article 451 of the Criminal Code concerning hostage-taking, which carries a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison. He is also charged with the article concerning deprivation of liberty, which carries a maximum sentence of nine years in prison. "We will use cumulative charges. The Regional Police Chief also confirmed that the suspect was a repeat offender who had committed similar acts of violence against other female victims. At that time, the perpetrator had been sentenced to one year and four months in prison, which occurred in the Bandung area.
