We went to Paquetá Beach, in the city of Canoas/RS, to closely document the first flood of 2026. We faced difficult roads by car to follow the flooding of the Sinos and Jacuí Rivers. In this video, we show exclusive images recorded on foot and from above with a drone, capturing the rapidly rising water level. One detail that was quite impressive was the enormous amount of dirt, debris, and tree trunks carried downstream by the river.
