Zodiac Watches, or simply Zodiac, is an American brand of Swiss-made watches founded in 1882 by Ariste Calame in Le Locle, Switzerland. The company mostly focuses on its dive watches through its Sea Wolf line, one of the first modern dive watches, which debuted in 1953, before the Rolex Submariner and after Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Although Zodiac was acquired by Fossil Group in 2001, its manufacturing remained in Bienne, Switzerland. Zodiac and Fossil Group are headquartered in Richardson, Texas. A never-identified American serial killer, who lurked throughout California in the late 1960s and early 70s, became known as the Zodiac Killer. The killer, named after a series of taunting letters sent to the press and signed using the Zodiac watch logo, signified a reign of terror. The Zodiac Sea Wolf was featured in the 2007 film Zodiac. Because of the watches more accessible price point compared to those of Rolex and Blancpain it debuted alongside in “The Year of the Dive Watch,” the Zodiac Sea Wolf became a favorite of soldiers and sailors during the Vietnam War era, who could buy one at their local PX. In 1968, the next generation of the Sea Wolf arrived, the “Super” prefix added to its name denoting the updated model’s increased water resistance of 750 meters (up from the 200 meters that had been achieved for previous models during the 1950s), aided by a new patented crown-and-stem system and improved caseback design. This Swiss made wristwatch was revived by the end of this video with its Swiss movement the watch seems very luxury and upscale. The beads of rice bracelet is very fitting along with the vintage styling of the bezel and case. Would you wear it?
