José Maza:“Marte: la próxima frontera”

At the VI International Conference on Scientific Culture, held at the Bellavista campus of Andrés Bello University, José Maza, an astronomer and full professor at the University of Chile, PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Toronto, and recipient of the 1999 National Prize for Exact Sciences, gave an engaging talk on humanity's potential to colonize Mars following the discovery of water there by Italian scientists. He also reviewed the history of the space race leading up to the first moon landing.
