This time, we traveled to Kyushu! And within that, we visited Oita Prefecture, a famous hot spring destination we'd always wanted to see! We stayed in the Kuju area, surrounded by nature, and it was wonderful to be able to stroll around, admiring the beautiful scenery and seeing breathtaking views along the walking trails. Oita Prefecture has so many other sights to see, and we didn't have enough time... we wanted to stay longer! Because there are so many hot springs, and we wanted to visit so many different ones. Our walks with Mugi get longer as she gets older, and two hours feels normal to us now, but it was so refreshing. It was a little chilly in the mornings, but somehow that made the air feel even cleaner and more pleasant. We also want to try all sorts of local cuisine. This trip left us with a good kind of regret. We want to go again!
