[2025 Revisit] OTIS (Mod. KONE) Elevators | Westquay Car Park, Southampton, UK (Zone A)

I'm back at Southampton again and I've managed to film some more elevators in Westquay, but first let's check out the recent condition of the elevators in the car park. The Zone A elevators of the Westquay Car Park have been modernized not long after I filmed them in October 2023 (almost two years ago!). Apparently the mod wasn't done at the same time as the COP on the left car says "2024". Like the Zone B elevators, these were originally OTIS 2000 VF from the late 1990s and have received new KCE controllers and Revive KSS 140 fixtures. Interestingly the existing OTIS 2000 COPs inside are retained; they simply retrofitted the new fixtures on them. The original motors are also retained based on the sound of the brake release. Overall this is quite an interesting mod and still feels like an OTIS 2000 VF despite they've been modernized. Zone A consists of even numbered floors and the rear door on both elevators open on those floors. Floor 7 has a direct access to the shopping mall as well as the neighbouring IKEA store; the latter is connected with its own parking deck by a single KONE TranSys elevator. Zone C elevators on the other side of the car park are the same as these ones; I've filmed them as well.
