12 Epoxy Table Builds for a Secret TV Show

We can’t tell you which television show this is for yet… …but we had just two weeks to build 12 matching custom pieces before the deadline hit. If you’ve followed this channel for any length of time, you already know that’s not how we normally operate. We build one-off projects. Functional art. Weird ideas that somehow work. But this time we had to figure out how to build the same thing over and over again—and do it without losing our minds. That meant CNC-cutting hundreds of parts, fixing mistakes in real time, rethinking our assembly process, battling my old nemesis Bondo, and pouring four different metallic epoxy finishes across a series of custom countertops. In this episode you’ll see: • The cut list mistake that nearly derailed production • How wrapping plywood edges saved hours of finishing work • CNC batch-production workflow and efficiency tricks • A modified Bondo technique that made life easier • Custom metallic epoxy countertops in Chrome, Copper, Pewter, and Gold • LED lighting installation and final assembly • The systems and process improvements we’re taking into future builds What started as a television project quickly became a test of workflow, consistency, and figuring out how to scale what we do without sacrificing quality. Huge thanks to Stone Coat Countertops for helping support the build. We’ll share more details about the television show as soon as we’re allowed to, but until then you’ll have to settle for the behind-the-scenes chaos. #ChaoticFlux #Woodworking #CNC #Epoxy #StoneCoatCountertops #DIYFurniture #Maker #WorkshopLife #FunctionalArt #TheCollaboratory 🔧 Subscribe to follow the madness: @the_crafty_studio_official 🎥 New Chaotic Flux episodes every week _______________________________ Social Media and Contact Info: Website, merch and plans sales: www.thecraftystudio.org 📬 Stay connected + behind the scenes 👉 IG: @The_Crafty_Studio_Official 👉 FB/TikTok: @thecraftystudio 👉 Follow the Collaboratory buildout: @thecollaboratorywhitehall Email: Scott: [email protected] Disclosures: All opinions are my own.
