Can you drive without a front drive shaft? - Removing 4wd front drive shaft - Yukon / Tahoe

I know the transfer case is broken and the 4 wheel drive is out. So, I wonder if removing the front drive shaft will stop some of the noises and help the truck drive better? Going over bumps occasionally "jolts" the trucks drive train. I show you how I (surgically) remove the drive shaft, take the truck for a spin and give you my impressions of how the truck drives.
