Little Dorrit (2)
PART TWO of SIX Made in 1987 and starring Derek Jacobi and Alec Guinness, Charles Dickens' satire of Victorian government bureaucracy (the 'Department of Circumlocution') also writes about the inherent injustice of debtors' prisons, especially for those, like Little Dorrit, who happened to have been born in them. Little Dorrit was such a long film that it was itself satirised as 'Big Dorrit'. At almost six hours it was split into two. This is the second section of the first instalment. Please subscribe.
