Over time, the name became corrupted and became known as the Sakrani River. Unfortunately, due to social apathy, encroachment, and encroachment by powerful elements, the river itself became endangered. The situation became so dire that it was listed as endangered rivers in government records. During this time, Ajay Krantikari (Ajay Tiwari), a resident of Pratapgarh, had an idea: the river that had been relieving people for centuries was now in crisis; why not revive it? With this resolve, he organized the city's youth and launched a campaign to revive the river. For ten months, the spades and shovels continued. As a result of public participation and tireless efforts, the river, once considered endangered, reappeared and began flowing like a normal river. Ajay Tiwari was honored by UNESCO for his remarkable work in public awareness, environmental protection, and community participation.
