Walt Disney's "I Captured the King of the Leprechauns" Season 5 Ep 26 (Edited w/commercials)

From Season 5 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 26: I Captured the King of the Leprechauns which originally aired on May 29th, 1959. This is a behind the scenes episode that looks into the filming of Darby O'Gill and the Little People, but with a special twist! Walt Disney, in a rare acting appearance, explains the plot of the film to Pat O'Brien and how he traveled throughout Ireland to hire Darby and the leprechauns to appear in his picture. Of course, this is a fictional portrayal, but the level of imaginative talent in this episode speaks to the tremendous abilities of Walt Disney and his creative team! This episode was released as a bonus feature on both the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the film. I took this special and inserted content from an August 28th, 1959 re-airing to include the original commercials and post-episode material consisting of spots for ABC programs and Walt Disney's introduction of the following week's program: "The Slaughter Trail." Note: portions of the theatrical release are in this episode and due to copyright I had to edit them out. To see more episodes from Season 5 click here:    • Walt Disney Presents: Season 5 (1958-1959)
