Modelo do Titanic na escala 1:100, construido do zero absoluto com materiais alternativos por Rodrigo Piller, entre maio de 2014 e março de 2016. A maquete mede 2,69 metros de comprimento e é populada com mais de 227 miniaturas de figuras humanas modeladas e pintadas à mão. Composto por mais de 8 mil peças avulsas criadas uma a uma manualmente, o modelo é também iluminado por mais de 700 luzes internas. Há também a recriação de alguns momentos e fotos históricas de passageiros reais do Titanic, que foram replicados em miniatura tal e qual aparecem nas fotos de época verídicas tiradas em 1912. Eu, Rodrigo, criador do modelo, também sou uma das figuras da maquete, pois estou em miniatura sobre o teto da Grande Escadaria da 1ª classe onde seguro nas mãos um micro projeto do Titanic. Na maquete há a simulação estática de vários procedimentos no Titanic, todos recriados de maneira livre, desconectados uns dos outros para que o espectador consiga ver parte da rotina do navio em vários lugares e em tempos diferentes. O modelo foi concluído em abril de 2016, no aniversário dos 104 anos da conclusão da construção e naufrágio do Titanic, que foi terminado em 02 de abril de 1912, e apenas 13 dias depois, na madrugada de 15 de abril, naufragou no Atlântico Norte após uma colisão como um iceberg na noite anterior. __________________ Lacking few days to the 104 anniversary of the Titanic most remembered moments, I finaly have finished my work on my 1:100 Titanic model (2,69 m long / 9 feet long), that I built from absolute zero, from may 2014 until now, april 2, and I have finished It on the 104 anniversary of Titanic's construction completion. I built my model from absolute zero with alternative materials, and very few "professional" materials (only acrylic resin for the sea, wood veneer for the deck coverings and transparent acetate for the windows). The 237 human figures are modeled and painted one by one by me, men, women, childrens, crew and more (the six dogs are bought in a hobby shop, I have no ability to make them, as they are so tiny). To not freeze the whole model in a single static scene, I recreated various disconnected moments in time, in order to allow the observer to see part of the ship routine. I have created the fictional characters "Jack and Rose" in a "most correct context", and I have recreated myself in miniature. I'm in the roof of the grand staircase, with Titanic plans on hand, researching to make my model (artistic licence here)... There is another historic moments recreated too... And much artistic licence all around. An example of personal taste and proposital artistic licence is the excessive hull rusting. This is a personal option, as this make the model more realistic on the the pics. Regards from a brazilian Titanic enthusiast and amateur modeler.
