Listen to Your Mom | John 2:1-11 | Mothers Day Sunday School lesson
Looking for Mother's Day Sunday School Curriculum? Check out Douglas' hour-long Mother's Day Sunday School lesson. https://douglastalks.com/product/moth... Jesus performed His first miracle at the request of His mother, Mary. She asked Jesus to do something about the wine that had run out at a wedding they were both attending, and Jesus obeyed his mother and turned water into wine. At first, He didn’t want to get involved because He said that His time had not yet come. But even though Jesus is God and Mary is not, He still did as she asked because obeying your mother is the right thing to do. When our parents ask us to do something, it’s not our job to decide whether or not we’re going to obey. We should just obey. In almost every situation, our parents know better than we do. But the reason to obey is not because they are probably right, the reason to obey is because God says that children should obey their parents. Be like Jesus and listen to your mom.
