Minn Kota Trolling Motor Repair: Component Level Circuit Board Fix!

In this video, I perform a component-level repair on a Minn Kota PowerDrive V1 55lb thrust trolling motor control board. I show what it takes to get to the board through the waterproofing, and I show the completely empty circuit board after removing all its components. I'll also compare a few new and old components. After replacing the parts, I reinstalled the circuit board with waterproof silicone sealant, then fully tested it to ensure everything worked correctly. I replaced all the components on the circuit board, even though I could have just replaced the faulty components. I wanted to ensure this board will last another 15-20 years. Although I shared the price for the components and silicone sealant, just a heads-up: the labor charge for this repair will be the most expensive part. You'll be fishing in no time after this repair. All components can be sourced from most electronics parts providers. For some unknown reason, the video around the 37-minute mark is slightly out of sync with the audio, then aligns back up shortly afterwards. 🛠️ Saved you $$$ on this repair?
