Galatea Struggles Over Shap, First Time In Preservation

Footage of ex-LMS Jubilee 45699 Galatea struggling over Shap on its first run up the famous bank in preservation, 23 October 2013. Later in the day, the Jub is seen returning south at Birkett Common on the Settle & Carlisle line. Following early teething problems after a miraculous restoration, the loco has since become a very strong and capable mainline performer.
