Catching a feed of Redfin at Waranga Basin

The redfin fishing is on fire this year, they seem to be easier to find than they have been for a long time, and these ones were bigger in size, which I'm certainly not complaining about! I must have landed about 25 fish for the session, and kept 7 to bring home to eat. This is one of my favorite types of fishing, especially on a hot day; I get to wade out into the nice cool water, have loads of fun catching multiple fish in a short period, and as an added bonus I get to take home a delicious feed of redfin perch fillets at the end. What a combination! I did my fishing on a budget on this day, I was using a red 2 dollar Jarvis Walker creek spinner, and kept my catch in a 6 dollar keeper net from K mart. The keeper net was purchased last week for this exact type of fishing, so I could wet wade and quickly place my catch in the net without the need to muck around, giving me extra time to cast back into the active school of fish. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #redfin #waranga #perch
