Inches Away From Aircraft Launches - Catapult Centerdeck Operator POV

What's it like to have an F-18 launched inches above your head? The Catapult Centerdeck Operator's job is to ensure communication with catapult control relaying aircraft type, gross weight and the side number, and assisting the Catapult Officer (or, Shooter) in selecting Capacity Selector Valve (CSV) settings. Each aircraft requires a different catapult setting based on weight, wind-over-deck, and other factors. This video has a UI Operator (Under Instruction) training in the man-up station next to the Centerdeck Operator. Apologies about the fog over the lens, steam can have that effect on a camera. ---- If you liked this video: ~ Hit that “THUMBS UP” button! ~ Hit that “SHARE” button to share this video with everyone you know! ~ And of course, hit the “SUBSCRIBE” button so you’re up to date every time we upload a video! --- Want to see our videos on other channels?
