Deep in the heart of Fukushima, there lies a place shrouded in mist and primeval forest. In Hinoemata, a village revered as a sacred place by stream anglers, I searched for the most beautiful char. On this day, with a gentle rain falling, the cold, crystal-clear stream welcomed me in its untouched, unspoiled natural state. As I fought against the current, step by step, I encountered beautiful wild char. Each one seemed like a masterpiece painted by the river itself. After a long fight in the rain, the first day ended in the small sanctuary of my car. A quiet night, listening to the sound of rain hitting the roof. This is a record of the first day of my journey.
