Over the years, Ascension has introduced several game modes, from the more traditional Bronzebeard realm to experimental experiences like Champions of Azeroth. In this series, however, we'll be diving into Conquest of Azeroth, a custom class experience that replaces WoW's original classes with brand new ones, each featuring unique talent trees, abilities, and playstyles designed specifically for Ascension. Recently, Project Ascension found itself at the centre of legal attention after Blizzard took action against some of the project's operations. While parts of the server have changed as a result, the community has remained incredibly resilient, and Conquest of Azeroth continues to be one of the most popular ways to experience this unique version of Azeroth. While many World of Warcraft purists dismiss Project Ascension because it strays so far from Blizzard's original vision, its community has earned a reputation for being welcoming, helpful, and eager to introduce new players to its unique systems.
