Sonic Racing Series - Evolution of Sonic's Speed Star

Well, I might as well tell you guys. I am only a casual enjoyer of Sonic the Hedgehog. This video goes over the evolution of Sonic's racing machine, the Speed Star. And since I have bought ALL FOUR Sonic Racing games on Steam, I might as well get this video out on the Fourth of July. 0:00 2010 Speed Star - Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing The first appearance of said vehicle. A mid-engined blue automobile. Sonic's iconic characteristics are found all over the vehicle. Examples include fenders in the shape of Sonic's quills and headlights in the shape of Sonic's eyes, etc. 3:50 2012 Speed Star - Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed The Speed Star was updated for the second game in 2012, and the vehicle now has the ability to transform into a jet or a twin-hulled speedboat. visually, this version has more supercar design cues. But the rear quills from the 2010 version had to be toned down and the simplistic wheels had to be swapped out for more modern rims. For this one, specific performance mods can be equipped, and as so, I equipped the Genesis Mod. 8:09 2019 Speed Star - Team Sonic Racing Gone are the speedboat and jet modes because the third reiteration of the Speed Star is the most customizable at the time. Listed as the Speed type racer within Team Sonic, this design has more simplistic design cues. But that can be changed thanks to body mods, new rims, paint kits, and decal patterns. For this one, I equipped the Mega Engine, the Turbo Jets, and the Monster Treads. 12:57 2025 Speedster Lightning - Sonic Racing CrossWorlds This is the most RADICAL change in the Speed Star's evolution. While this car looks NOTHING like Sonic so far, it has to share its chassis with other Speed-type Machines, like the Dark Reaper, Mirage Blade, Royal Chariot, and my personal favorite, the Wild GT. And while you can apply decals wherever you want on it, This Speedster Lightning sounds DIFFERENT compared to the other Speed-type machines. Most of them have a big-block V8 engine sound when selected and when driving, but when the Speedster Lightning is selected it makes a high-pitched electric motor sound. Therefore, This Speed Star in particular is not only Sonics personal ride, but also an EV.
