This article introduces how even non-electricians can investigate and repair faulty circuits. ① Identify the name of the faulty circuit (the off mini-breaker) and identify the affected area. 　(If the mini-breakers do not have names, try each one individually to find the affected area.) ② Unplug the affected area. 　(Refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen exhaust fan, water heater, microwave, air conditioner, etc.) ③ If you cannot find the problem with ②, turn off the affected light. ④ If ② and ③ do not work, or if some products require disassembly to remove the outlet or are directly connected to a wall outlet, please contact an electrician. *In addition to insufficient capacity and faulty electrical appliances, other possible causes of power outages include faulty building wiring (rodents, leaks, short circuits caused by nails or screws during DIY work, or deteriorated wiring). *Electric leakage can also be affected by weather. Identifying the cause can be difficult, as a breaker may trip when it's raining or humid, but not when it's sunny. When I can't identify the cause, I install a high-sensitivity branch earth leakage breaker (15mA high-speed type) on the suspect circuit rather than the installed earth leakage breaker and see what happens.
