Sta Marys - A Igreja Mais Assombrada Da Inglaterra

Essex County is known for its past shrouded in dark mystery. Popularly nicknamed "the land of witches", it was there that the notorious Matthew Hopkins, famous for his witch hunts, was born. In addition to this dark history, the region holds several intriguing paranormal accounts. Among them is the famous Borley Rectory, often referred to as the most haunted house in Britain. Interestingly, about 35km south of Borley, there is a place whose haunting is considered by many to be just as intense – or even more frightening. This place is known as Langanho, a name that comes from Anglo-Saxon and means "long hill", with historical roots that date back to the Roman era. The small village, situated on the banks of the River Colne, is welcoming and lively, with fairs, festivals and a strong community bond. However, there are those who report strange sensations when passing through a specific point: the old land where the church stood. The 14th-century parish church of St. Mary’s was demolished in 1962 – but not before leaving behind a series of terrifying events. Do you want to adjust the tone to something darker or keep it that way?
