NIMONA | Nimona Shot Progression | Animation Breakdowns | 3D Animation Internships

I'm a little late to the game, but still wanted to share my contribution to Nimona. I loved the way the movie turned out and excited I got to have a small part in making it! I only got the chance to work on one production shot before the BSS closure, but it was a lot of fun and a big challenge for me. I animated the second half of this shot(after she bursts through the doors) of Nimona showcasing her ability to transform for Ballister as they make their escape from the institute. Originally my shot was separate, as the sequence was edited differently, but eventually the directors wanted to merge a beautiful LOP (look of picture) test, animated by Louis Jones and Jin Kum with my shot of the transformations. So, months later I was tasked with merging my shot and theirs. 😬 This shot was still WIP at BSS when we closed, but it was awesome to see this shot and much of this sequence remains largely the same as how we left it at BSS. .
