Ethiopian M90/95 Hybrid Mannlicher Carbine
/ forgottenweapons https://www.floatplane.com/channel/Fo... Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! http://shop.forgottenweapons.com Today we are looking at a uniquely Ethiopian carbine, a hybrid M90/95 Mannlicher. It began life as an Austrian-issue M90 carbine proofed in 1892. It served through World War One, and was probably given to Italy as war reparations in the early 1920s. Italy then sent it to East Africa, where is served in the AOI during the Italian occupation of Ethiopia. After World War Two, it was retained by Ethiopia, and at some point its stock and associated hardware (and cocking piece) were replaced with M95 pattern parts. It ended up in storage in Ethiopia until just recently imported into the US by InterOrd/Royal Tiger.
