In this video, you will see the final state of the northern section, from Kalampaka to Egnatia Road, as it was recorded just a few days before the project's completion. The journey begins in Kalampaka and ends at kilometer 182, where the E65 connects with Egnatia Road, completing a new motorway with a total length of approximately 182.1 kilometers. The day after this video is published, the official inauguration of the project will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, followed by the opening to traffic of the final 46-kilometer section, officially completing the E65 from Lamia to Egnatia Road. The E65 is one of the most important new motorway projects in Greece, as it directly connects the PATHE motorway with Egnatia Road, significantly improving travel between Central Greece, Thessaly, Western Macedonia, and Epirus. With its completion, travel times will be reduced, freight transport will be strengthened, and new opportunities will be created for tourism and the economic development of the regions it passes through. Beyond documenting the motorway in its final form, this video also marks the conclusion of a series that began in April 2024. Through aerial and ground footage, we followed the project step by step until its completion. Thank you for being part of this journey.
