Natasja Mabesoone - ARTBRUSSELS ENTRANCE

Shaping the Entrance with Natasja Mabesoone From concept to completion, this video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Art Brussels 2026 entrance commission. For this edition, the fair’s threshold was reimagined by Belgian artist Natasja Mabesoone (represented by Gallery Sofie Van de Velde) with “Cher mouths Mary, Mary mouths Cher”, a site-specific installation that transformed the entrance into a striking, immersive passage. In this video, Art Brussels’ managing director Nele Verhaeren reflects on the importance of inviting an artist to shape visitors’ first impressions of the fair and explains the choice of Mabesoone. The artist, in turn, offers insight into how the project was brought to life and how visitors responded to the work once it was unveiled. Wallpaper produced and kindly supported by Masureel.
