Never in my life seen snacks sold like this! Alleppey, India.

Today is a walk around the main town of Alleppey where there are almost more houseboats than houses with every second person asking me if I'd like to rent one for a trip around the backwaters. I stop at a seafood stall and enquire about the price and where the fish are sourced from. I then meet a group of taxi drivers who play a local game which is like pool but with disks that you flick with your fingers. one man explains to me their game has become popular not only with local taxi drivers but with the general public as well. This has seen the men to start taking the game seriously and entering competitions. A little further out of the town centre I come across a snack and sweet seller who sells his product in enormous quantities. I try one of the honyey sweets he makes and find it very unique and delicious. One Indian man I talk with tells me he's not married and has no plans to marry, not wanting the responsibility or commitment that comes with this union. We both agree we enjoy the freedom that come with being single and this is the first Indian man I've met who wants the life of a single man. There are other brief chats throughout the day with locals from Alleppey making it a great walk around town
