The clip where she gives him the cookies, he takes a bite and, jokingly, falls on the floor was used frequently in blooper reels on Bandstand Anniversary shows. This week in the news – May 1 – Elvis and Priscilla get married in Las Vegas May 4 – The U.S. Lunar Orbiter 4 is the first probe to enter into orbit around the Moon. May 6 (today) – Proud Clarion wins the 93rd Kentucky Derby. (This may be the sporting event that will preempt the show that Dick refers to. Not sure) On the Billboard Hot 100 chart today: 1) Somethin’ Stupid, Nancy Sinatra and Frank Sinatra 2) The Happening, The Supremes 3) Sweet Soul Music, Arthur Conley 4) A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You, The Monkees 5) Happy Together, The Turtles 15) When I Was Young, Eric Burdon and the Animals 28) Get Me To The World On Time, The Electric Prunes 40) Mirage, Tommy James and the Shondells As “Little Bit O’Soul” was released only 2 or 3 weeks ago and will just enter the charts next week at #90, this is, most likely, the first time most people in the studio or around the country have ever heard The Music Explosion’s version of the song.
