Битва за Дебальцеве: карта боїв

The Battle of Debaltseve is one of the key events in Ukraine's resistance to Russian aggression. It had significant military and political consequences. The General Staff has already published an analysis of the fighting at the Debaltseve bridgehead: bit.ly/1UKGW3I. However, we are aware that the prepared document turned out to be difficult to understand. Given the importance of the battles for Debaltseve and the public attention to these events, the General Staff has prepared a video infographic dedicated to the battle for the first time. The infographic highlights how events unfolded in the area of ​​the Debaltseve salient in February 2015. We show only the main milestones of the Battle of Debaltseve; a more detailed description can be found in the above-mentioned analysis: bit.ly/1UKGW3I. Stylistic point: in the Soviet tradition, the enemy was depicted on maps in blue, and the own side in red. We decided to move away from this practice and apply the approach adopted in NATO countries: the enemy is depicted in red. The infographic was included in the documentary film "Debaltseve".
