Table ronde | La quête du soi dans les écrits d'Henri Le Saux (Swami Abhishiktananda)

At the crossroads of Christianity and Advaita Vedanta, this roundtable discussion explores the thought of Henri Le Saux (Swami Abhishiktananda), a French Benedictine monk who dedicated much of his life to the dialogue between Christianity and the spiritual traditions of India. How can we understand the quest for the "inner God" in light of the encounter between Christian theism and the non-duality of Advaita Vedanta? What theological, spiritual, and philosophical issues arise from this encounter between two major religious traditions? Led by Ankur Barua, Senior Lecturer in Hindu Studies at the Faculty of Theology, University of Cambridge, this conference (in English with simultaneous translation into French) offers an in-depth reflection on the work of Henri Le Saux and contemporary dialogues between Hinduism and Christianity.
