Riquisimo Pate de Sardinas Para Aperitivos o Canapes
A delicious alternative to classic foie gras pâté. Perfect for spreading on toast, crackers, making canapés, or dipping crudités. Quick and easy for any appetizer or gathering. Ingredients: • 1 can of sardine fillets in oil • 4 tablespoons - 60 g softened butter (not margarine) • 1/2 cup - 60 g cream cheese • 1 tablespoon finely chopped sweet and sour gherkins • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice • Optional: pinch of black pepper • Optional: parsley garnish Preparation: • Blend the sardines, butter, cream cheese, gherkins, lemon juice, and optional black pepper in a food processor or with an immersion blender until almost smooth (to taste). • Transfer to a serving dish and cover with plastic wrap. • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. • It can be used as a spread on toast, fresh bread with canapés, crudités, crackers… • It can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
