MEDtalk 18: In Conversation with Anudi Gunasekara

UCCS proudly presents a special edition of MEDtalks - MEDtalk 18: In Conversation With Anudi Gunasekara! Anudi Gunasekara, hailing from Anuradhapura, is a graduate of the University of Kelaniya with a BA (Hons) in International Relations. Best known for being crowned Miss World Sri Lanka 2024, she is a passionate social activist who founded "Saheli," a non-profit organization dedicated to combating period poverty and challenging menstrual stigma in Sri Lanka. A dynamic youth icon, she has represented the country on the global stage, advocating for women's health rights and empowerment, while balancing her career as a model and public speaker. This MEDtalk took place on the 23rd of October at the Senior Common Room of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo (UCFM) with an audience of over 40 participants. This casual sit-down interview was an intimate and invaluable experience pitched primarily to an audience of medical undergraduates. The event began with a structured interview portion followed by an open-floor discussion.
