101 Fish on the Backside of Catalina Island with Lane Kilian - PK-RIG- Kicker Kilianaire - A-Rig

We had an insane day fishing the backside of Catalina Island with Captain Lane Kilian. Lane took Kadin and I on a full-day Catalina Island fishing charter and we ended up catching 101 fish, with most of them being Calico Bass. This trip was focused on fishing the Kicker Fishing PK-RIG, which is an Alabama Rig (A-Rig) style setup. We rigged it with Pickle Kick Kilianaire soft body swimbaits with Warbaits Neckbreaker and Promar Ahi Flashblade XT swinghead jigs. We worked the entire backside of Catalina for calico bass, fishing kelp beds, and learning how to fish the island more effectively. Even though Kadin and I take our own boat out almost every week, this charter was extremely valuable. Lane is a very knowledgeable fisherman and boat captain, and we learned a lot about Catalina Island fishing, how to approach different zones, how to fish the A-Rig, and how to better target calico bass on our own boat.
