Beach Boys: Bruce Johnston Part 1
In this wide-ranging interview The Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston looks back at the band's golden sixties period and the music that built their success. Bruce talks about the changing Californian music scene across the decade, the growth of Brian Wilson as a songwriter & producer, the triumph of Pet Sounds and the disappointment of the abortive SMiLE project. He reflects on The Beach Boys' story and output, as well as the challenging climate of the late Sixties as the group's hits began to dry up.
