Join our herd of rescued orphan elephants at the Sheldrick Trust's Nairobi Nursery, as they head to the mud bath for their 3pm milk feed. Each of these elephants has been rescued after losing its mother, all too often as a result of human actions, from poaching to human-elephant conflict. Our dedicated Keepers provide them with the specialist physical and psychological care they need - day and night - to ensure they can grow healthy and strong, so that when they are ready, they can return to a life in the wild.
