TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the US has re-imposed a naval blockade on Iran. In the latest operation, US forces diverted three commercial vessels. The vessels allegedly attempted to breach the blockade and board the tanker M/T Wen Yao in the Gulf of Oman. This was reportedly for a verification inspection on July 17, 2026. Footage released by CENTCOM shows US Marines boarding the commercial tanker in an operation described as a verification inspection. However, CENTCOM stated that the exact date and location of the footage could not be independently verified. CENTCOM explained that the action against several vessels was carried out as part of the re-imposition of the US naval blockade on Iran. US forces reportedly redirected three commercial vessels that attempted to violate the blockade. In addition, another vessel was disabled after disobeying orders. Meanwhile, the tanker M/T Wen Yao was inspected by US Marines to ensure its compliance with Washington's policies. Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released footage purportedly showing missile launches in an attack that reportedly targeted US military bases. The footage, uploaded on Thursday (July 16th), shows several missiles identified as Khyber Shakan, Zulfiqar, Sajil, and Fateh-110. Some of the missiles also feature images of Iran's late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The IRGC claims the attack targeted US military bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
