High Operational Tempo Sounding Rocket Program
A sounding rocket launches from the Kauai Test Facility in Hawaii. Sounding rockets carry scientific experiments into the upper atmosphere. This one, part of a new program by the National Nuclear Security Administration dubbed HOT SHOT, is also carrying prototype technologies to test how they fare in flight. It was built and launched by Sandia National Laboratories. Learn more at http://bit.ly/2CYHrbA. SAND2018-11495 V
