Enrico Caruso - Ô Souverain! Ô Juge! Ô Père!
I am going on vacation this week so, consequently, Dead Tenors' Society will be on vacation this week. I won't have the ability to create and post our usual Wednesday night videos, but I feel that I need to post something this week. Since you can't go wrong with Enrico Caruso (1873-1921), here is the great man singing Rodrigue's Prayer, "Ô Souverain! Ô Juge! Ô Père!" from Massenet's Le Cid. This recording was made for the Victor label in Camden, New Jersey on February 5, 1916. Dead Tenors' Society will return next week with a new (or, to be more accurate, old) tenor.
