Career burglars have been put ON NOTICE
ACT is taking Three Strikes for Burglary to the election. Your home should be the one place you feel safe. But in 2025, 184,000 New Zealanders were victims of burglary, and around one in four burglary victims had already been burgled before. Enough is enough. Under our policy, anyone convicted of burglary three times would face a minimum sentence of three years in prison, with no parole, no home detention, and no early release. Repeat burglars should not be free to keep creating more victims.
