Operation Sindoor : India has launched a series of targeted precision strikes under ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) almost a fortnight after the Pahalgam terror attack. Nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir were targeted in the strikes. However, no Pakistani military facilities were hit, reflecting India’s calibrated and non-escalatory approach. The operation marks a significant escalation in India’s counter-terror strategy following the Pahalgam attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.
