Luis Alberto de Cuenca en "El libro como universo"

Luis Alberto de Cuenca (Madrid, 1950) is a poet and essayist. He has served as director of the National Library of Spain and as Secretary of State for Culture. A great scholar of the classical world, which he has reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective, he is a translator of Callimachus, Homer, Geoffrey of Monmouth, and Walpole. His translation of the Song of Walter earned him the National Translation Prize in 1987. His poetry collections include *Without Fear or Hope*, *Now and Forever*, and *Life in Flames*. His essays include *Yellow Tiles*, *The Necessity of Myth*, and *Proper Names*.
