Vizio Sound Bar Not Powering Up (SB3851-OC)

My attempt to troubleshoot my Vizio sound bar that ceased working about a year after I got it as a gift from my brother. Was able to determine that the power supply board was functioning and putting out 24VDC as it should, and that the problem lay somewhere in the amplifier/control board. I searched around quite a bit and was unable to find a replacement for that board, and don't see troubleshooting the individual components as a practical way to go, especially without any kind of diagrams to go off of. But by following what I did here, you can at least disassemble the bar and test the power supply, although I don't know that it is worth it, the problem I found seems to be very common. I would be wary of this particular model, go with another Vizio model (they DO sound quite good, when working) or another brand altogether, as there are many stories out there of this same thing happening to others with this model. Seems the life expectancy is generally anywhere from 3 months to 3 years. I would also be wary of any used replacement boards out there, as they are likely original equipment, and therefore also likely prone to failure. NOTE I realized after doing this that the power buttons on the bar are wired into the amp/control board, so it makes sense they were not functioning as I had that board disconnected while troubleshooting. So disregard that little part.
