The Reliant Scimitar, Sabre Six, Robin, Supervan III & more | Classic Reliants in photos

Just a handful of Reliant cars have made it into Old Classic Car videos to date, so I thought it high time to point the spotlight in the direction of Staffordshire - Tamworth to be precise - and draw together a collection of images featuring three- and four-wheeled Reliants from the 1940s through to much more recent times. When I think Reliant, the first classic cars that come to mind are the Reliant Scimitar GTE and the three-wheeler Robin, but there were so many more. The Supervan and Regent three-wheel light commercials (including the "Only Fools & Horses" Supervan III), the shapely Sabre Sixes, the SS1, Rialto, the oddball TW9 (or "Ant"), the frugal Regal designed for the motorist on a budget back in the 1950s, the rarely-spotted four-wheeled Kitten and the Rebel, and of course the Bond Bug, which was built by Reliant, the latter having taken over Bond by this time and putting the car on sale under that name. One of the Reliants made famous in BBC's Top Gear motoring show also makes it in here, so quite a mix really.
