June Cavlan is an award-winning vocalist, arranger, and teacher based in New York. June is a rising star in New York’s lot of straight-ahead jazz singers. Her unique and charismatic interpretations of works from the Great American Songbook and rich vocal quality make June a dynamic singer. She has made big strides in her career since moving to Manhattan in 2023. __ Jackson A. Waters is an award-winning concert and film composer. As a recipient of the Steinhardt Scholarship at New York University, he studied under Julia Wolfe, Justin Dello Joio, and Shelley Washington. Jackson's compositional style has garnered recognition and awards such as the NYYS Jon Deak First Music Chamber Grand Prize Winner, Emerging Black Composers Project Finalist, Salastina Sounds Promising Winner, American Composers Orchestra Earshot Finalist, NYU Orchestra Composer Residency Winner, and more. Internationally, Jackson has worked with Beata Hlavenkova and the S.V.A Trio in Prague, recording in historic venues such as the 13th-century St. Nicholas Church. His progressive approach to concert music includes integrating audio sampling and real-time audience interaction through their mobile devices, expanding the possibilities of live performance. Waters’ work extends to the fine arts, collaborating with painter Ari Kim on Mae-Deup (매듭), a multi-sensory gallery exhibition exploring the concept of In-Yeon (인연), writing original music for each painting accessible via Bluetooth beacons that allowed audiences to experience the music in direct relation to the artwork. __ Live Room is a recorded and filmed performance series that provides an inclusive space for the audience to sit within the music, immersed in a home-like setting. By breaking away from centuries-old formalities, Live Room showcases artists from different genres collaborating with classical ensembles in intimate venues. Our performances take place at live shows and professional studios, offering audiences an intimate and immersive experience. Each event is professionally recorded and filmed, with the video content uploaded to YouTube and the audio released across all major music streaming platforms, making Live Room accessible to audiences worldwide.
