Buyers Beware! You need THIS code to unlock your factory Mopar stereo!

My buddy Scott gave me his factory Mopar stereo, but neither of us expected it to be as difficult as it was to get an unlock code from a dealership. This video only serves to let people know that you need to make sure you have that code or can get that code from the seller BEFORE you buy, if you’re in the market for one. While it is possible to get the codes, you have to provide a lot of information up front to a dealership in order for them to release it. Here’s what we had to provide: Model # Serial # Donor Jeep VIN # Recipient Jeep VIN # Drivers license #s If you’re buying one, be sure to also get a signed bill of sale from the seller to provide to the dealership. They WILL NOT give these codes out. Believe me, I tried... haha
