Artist Trading Cards (ATC / ACEO) — My First One & Why Artists Love Them

Recently my wife introduced me to Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), and I had no idea how popular (and fun) they were. In this video, I talk about what ATCs are, why they’re such a low-barrier way to share and sell art, and I make my very first one on camera using pencil and ink. These tiny 2.5" x 3.5" cards fit into standard baseball card sleeves, making them easy to store, trade, and ship—perfect for artists experimenting with small-format work. This is my first attempt, a quick sketch, and definitely a learning experience. I’ll be trying more styles (including watercolor) in future videos. If you enjoy process videos, art experiments, or weird little illustrations, feel free to like, comment, and subscribe. Welcome Ray Wellman Art!
