May 1st is celebrated worldwide as Labor Day – a historic day on which people have taken to the streets for over 100 years to demand fair working conditions, social justice, and solidarity. This day also has a long tradition in Berlin. In this video, we show impressions from May 1st, but we clearly distance ourselves from any form of violence. Our aim is to promote respect, tolerance, and a discrimination-free society – for peaceful and diverse coexistence.
